My Family

I come from a loving family of four. My father, Balakrishnan, is a retired school teacher who dedicated his career to shaping young minds. My mother, Manjula, continues to inspire students as a primary school teacher. I also have an elder brother, Yedukrishnan, who holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication. He currently works as a Product Manager at SafetyWhat, contributing his expertise to innovative projects. Our family values education, hard work, and mutual support, which have played a significant role in shaping who I am today.

My native place

I am from Vadakara, a town located in the Kozhikode district of Kerala. Vadakara is known for its historical and cultural significance, especially as the birthplace of the legendary warrior Thacholi Othenan, featured in the famous Vadakkan Pattukal. The town is situated along the coastline, which makes it a beautiful blend of cultural heritage, natural landscapes and beaches like Vadakara Sand Banks Beach.

Currently, I reside in Edavannappara, a town in the Malappuram district of Kerala. Edavannappara is a charming locality surrounded by the natural beauty of the Chaliyar River. The area is mainly known for its agricultural activities and scenic countryside.


My Education

Bachelor of Technology (2018-2022)

I completed my B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the School of Engineering at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). Established in 1971, CUSAT is a prominent public university located in Kochi, Kerala, renowned for its focus on science and technology education. The university has been ranked among the top institutions in India, securing the 34th position under the University category by NIRF Ranking 2024 and also 1st rank in Kerala, under KIRF Ranking 2024. The university offers a wide array of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various disciplines. The School of Engineering, founded in 1979, is one of the university's premier departments, offering a range of engineering programs. The B.Tech program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering was introduced in 2003, aiming to provide students with a solid foundation in electrical and electronics engineering principles, complemented by practical experience and research opportunities.

Professional Experience

Smartenersol Renewables (August 2022-April 2023)

I worked as an Electrical System Design Engineer at Smartenersol Renewables, a EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company specializing in solar renewable energy solutions.

During my tenure, I was responsible for various aspects of solar energy projects, including:

  • Costing and Estimation: Preparing cost and estimates for solar installations.

  • Component Selection: Identifying and selecting suitable inverters and other electrical components based on project requirements.

  • Electrical Drawings: Creating and reviewing detailed electrical designs and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical to ensure compliance with technical standards and project specifications.

  • Tender Reviewing: Analysing tender documents to assess feasibility, compliance, and alignment with company capabilities.

  • Performance Analysis: Using PV Syst for energy yield simulations, system design optimization, and performance evaluation of solar installations.

This role provided me with experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in the design and execution of solar systems. It honed my skills in technical design, tender management, project planning, and energy-efficient solutions, while allowing me to utilize software tools to achieve precise and effective results.
